- Making Prefabs

Notes:

Another update. So far I have the main Rick prefab that can shoot, move, jump and pick up Mortys. Consequently, I have a simple Morty prefab which just kind of stands there waiting to be saved, and a general bullet prefab. Also, I made the Evil Ricks, but so far they shoot and move with the key controls, thus need to modify them so that they do it on their own. Most likely they will act as guards, going left and right and shooting if the main Rick comes close.

And, there is a counter that at any moment shows how many Mortys are left in the game, basic background, and a tile sprite. I tried making a tilemap, but since I just wanted a simple square with a certain color, I thought it easier just to make a prefab and modify the size as I create platforms.

At the moment, I still don't have a 100% idea of what I will create, rather just having fun with it and seeing where it will take me.

So, the next agenda is to make some sort of traps and modify Evil Ricks to be self-moving.

Oh, and I found a nice sprite resource online:

https://www.spriters-resource.com/mobile/pocketmortys/

so all of my characters actually look decent.

I think I didn't mention it earlier but I am going with some old, low-quality style of the game, I like the feel and honestly, I am not sure how long it would take me to create assets similar to the 2D GameKit (quality-wise), and if I would manage at all.

Invested hours:

5 hours

Outcome:

Almost done with the prefabs
